ChatStars (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you apply for a role or use our talent portal, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you apply or create an account, we collect:
- Account details — your name, email, and password.
- Application details — contact handles (Telegram, Discord, phone), country, time zone, work setup, devices, experience, availability, and your answers to our questions.
- Documents you choose to upload — internet speed test, workspace photo, government ID, and English test results.
- Messages you exchange with our hiring team through the portal.
How we use your information
- To review your application and assess your fit for a role.
- To communicate with you about your application, interviews, and onboarding.
- To operate, secure, and improve the portal.
How your data is stored
Your information is stored securely with our infrastructure provider (Supabase). Uploaded documents are kept in private storage and are only accessible to you and authorised members of our hiring team via time-limited links.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with service providers that help us operate the portal, or where required by law.
Retention
We keep application data for as long as needed to evaluate your application and for our legitimate business records. You can request deletion of your data at any time.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To do so, contact us via the contact page.
